Providing Hunting & Fishing Expeditions in North America’s Last Frontier
Alaska Wilderness Charters & Guiding has been in business since 1990, and has built a solid reputation in the industry by providing quality big game adventure packages throughout Alaska. Whether hunting or fishing; we continually strive to maintain world-class adventures, resulting in lifelong memories and high success. Our personal attention to detail yields trips that continually surpass expectations.
We offer big game hunting adventures for brown bear, moose, grizzly bear, black bear, and caribou. Our various hunting concessions across the state have been selected based upon their current trophy potential.
Our Trophy fishing lodge was fully renovated in 2007, and provides a quite respite with personal hospitality. Our spacious “trophy room” complete with big screen plasma TV and full wet bar is the perfect place to unwind after your days on the water. We offer world-class fishing for king salmon, silver salmon, pink salmon, halibut, and multiple species of cod. We specialize in providing customized packages to fit your budget and needs.
Please review our package descriptions for detailed information on each of our packages. Alaska Wilderness Charters & Guiding has been featured in numerous magazines and television shows, and is a Cabela’s endorsed outfitter. Come join us for a lifetime of adventures!
Ketchikan » serves as Alaska’s southern most port of call for the majority of Inside Passage cruises. Visitors can tour the Tongass Historical Museum, which offers exhibits of traditional native culture, a history of the fishing industry and an example of a timber camp bunkhouse. A major center for sport fishing, opportunities abound for fishing from shore or aboard one of many charter boats. Visit the world’s largest collection of totem poles in Saxman and Totem Bight State Park, just outside of town. Or glimpse Ketchikan’s frontier days at "Dolly’s House," a former brothel located downtown
From Ketchikan, an excursion boat or plane can take you into the 2.3 million acre Misty Fiords National Monument. The coastal rain forests and glacial fjords shelter many species of land animals and sea life.
